Regional integration must for sustainability: PAJCCI

DUSHANBE: PAJCCI Co-President Zubair Motiwala emphasized on the importance of regional integration, strategic position of Pakistan and usage of Carec Corridor for greater sustainability of the region. He was speaking during the workshop on Regional Trading Block: Pakistan – Afghanistan – CARs in Tajikistan.

During his speech, he highlighted the advantages of establishing export houses, border liaison committees, visa facilitation and TIR Carnet utilisation across the region. He drew the attention of audience by focusing on border management, the refugee protection, the custom rules and connectivity of Central Asian countries with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

PAJCCI Secretary General Ms Faiza was also with him on special invitation of European Union – Border Management Northern Afghanistan. She highlighted issues like disconnected air and land routes that affect business community. She also said that if Tajikistan comes under fold of APTTA, the connectivity on regional grounds would be assured concretely. The participants, speakers and other stake holders from various fields of life and from various countries participated.
