Regional Tax Office-II selects 13,975 cases for audit of year 2015

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has selected 13,975 cases for the audit of year 2015 under section-214C of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001. Both corporate and non-corporate cases from all zones are selected for the audit.

According to details, these cases are selected after initial scrutiny of income tax returns. However, Okara withholding tax zone is not included in the audit process.

The FBR selected 907 cases from zone-I including 866 non-corporate and 41 corporate cases. From zone-II, 4,353 are selected. All cases are non-corporate and no corporate case is selected for audit from zone-II.

The FBR also selected 805 non-corporate cases from zone-III, 4228 cases from zone IV, 2,029 cases from zone-V and 1,553 cases are selected from Okara from corporate and non-corporate zones.

Chief Commissioner RTO-II has already sent details in all relevant zones and seeks confirmation of data. As a response, all zones have submitted the required date to the chief commissioner office.
