JACKSON: Registration is now open at www.seuscp.com for Mississippi companies interested in joining the state’s delegation of business leaders and economic development professionals in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, from June 28-30, for the 8th Annual Southeastern United States – Canadian Provinces Alliance conference.
The theme of this year’s event is Clustering Companies and Organizations to Increase Economic Benefit.
The SEUS-CP annual conference offers attendees real opportunities to strengthen existing trade and investment relationships, as well as to pursue new business prospects with counterparts in Canada.
“Mississippi enjoys strong and important ties through trade and tourism with our partners in Canada,” said MDA’s Interim Global Investment Director Becky Thompson. “This conference is an excellent way to strengthen this mutually beneficial relationship with our Canadian counterparts while forging new business relationships that will benefit both Mississippi and Canada.”
Participating companies will have the opportunity to participate in the event’s Business-to-Business Matchmaking program. The objective of the program is to identify potential strategic partnerships and business development opportunities between delegates. Pre-scheduled, one-on-one business-to-business meetings and panel discussions will take place in the advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, bio sciences, food, and aerospace sectors, as well as other industries.
Canada is Mississippi’s top trading partner, and both share strong economic connections, partnerships and cultural ties.
Grant assistance to defray the cost of attending the 8th Annual SEUS-CP Conference is available to qualified Mississippi businesses on a first-come, first-served basis through the U.S. Small Business Administration-funded Mississippi State Trade Export Promotion Program.
