Regulator Trade Organisations terms industry, trade lifeline for economy

FAISALABAD: The Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA), the biggest trade Association of textile exporters, is a symbol of entrepreneurship, hard work, determination, dedication and patriotism.

Established in 1985 as All Pakistan Cloth Exporters Association, it has grown bigger with each passing day is currently the leading representative body of textile exporters.

This was stated by Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) Chairman Sohail Pasha while talking to Regulator Trade Organisations Director General Sajid Hussain.

PTEA chief Pasha informed the visiting Mr Hussain that currently number of the association’s members was 200 plus, adding that the association had been acting as a guiding post for Pakistani textile exports abroad.

He pointed out that the PTEA facilitated its members through dissemination of textile related researches and new developments, market inquiries, issuance of certificate of origin, visa recommendations and providing tax consultancy. It also help its members participate in international fairs and exhibitions, legal aid, local business arbitration and E-Police services in collaboration with the Punjab Police,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Regulator Trade Organisations (RTOs) Director General Sajid Hussain described the industry and trade as lifeline for economy, pledging not to spare any effort in facilitating the trade and industrial organisations.

Mr Hussain said that the RTOs valued the role of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association in national economy.

He said that although under the Trade Organizations Act 2013, his office had been renamed as Regulator of Trade Organisations, it still believed in facilitating the trade and industry. He declared that all chambers and associations would be taken on board in the policy-making.
