Release of uplift budget will be subject to performance: Ayesha Ghaus Pasha

LAHORE: Punjab Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha has presided over the second quarterly meeting of the Fiscal Monitoring Committee. Officers of the health, irrigation, transport, food, labour, women development, population and other departments concerned attended the meeting.

The meeting was aimed at to review the balance between receipts, income and expenditures of the amounts collected under the targets of the current financial year’s budget, estimates of future expenditures and preparation of completion reports of the budget by the Finance Department.

The provincial minister also took a detailed briefing from the officers of all departments concerned about the utilization of the released funds and assured them further financial assistance for timely completion of development projects.

She also reviewed the progress and expenditure incurred on ongoing projects. Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha said that the release of development budget will be subject to the performance of the departments and output of their projects.
