KARACHI: The country’s foreign exchange reserves decreased by $264 million to $20.81 billion in the week ended January 1 as against $21.074 billion in the previous week.
According to the central bank, its reserves also dropped by $289 million to $15.883 billion during the week under review as compared to $16.172 billion in the week ended December 25, 2015. However, reserves held by other commercial banks increased $24 million to $4.926 billion as compared to $4.902 billion.
The country’s foreign exchange reserves hit all-time high of $21.074 billion in the previous week.
