According to FBR Member Inland Revenue (IR) and official spokesperson Shahid Hussain Asad, FBR revenue collection has witnessed a growth of 24 percent in the 16 days of the current month so far. He expressed the hope that if the revenue collection continued at the same pace, the FBR would be able to achieve the huge target of Rs 2,810 billion by June 30.
The FBR Member informed that the Board had collected Rs 431 billion so far in the two and half months of the current fiscal year which was more than Rs 369 billion collected in the same period of the previous year.
