KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has said that in a bid to implement the projects envisioned for the betterment of the maritime sector of Pakistan he even spent the last day of 2019 visiting different places in Karachi to see the working conditions and the needs of the projects set to be launched in 2020.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs said that first project in the line was Kemari Jetty whereby in the mid-year a cleaning drive was launched which not only successfully cleaned the vicinity with barges but also the new construction will open opportunities which were somewhat thwarted by the weak and deteriorating structures of the old Jetty.
The minister also visited markets and various places in Kemari where he met common people and listened to their problems. “We have been working on revolutionary projects since our government came into power and 2020 is really going to be a year of positive developments” he remarked.
