Rizwan Memon appointed as new senior member of BoR in Sindh

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to appoint Rizwan Memon as new senior member of the Board of Revenue (BoR).

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Sindh General and Administration Department with the consent of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

The newly appointed Senior Member, Rizwan Memon, has taken over the charge by Muhammad Waseem, who had previously held the office.

The newly appointed senior member is an officer of BS-21 and also served on senior posts in Government of Sindh (GoS).

It is pertinent to mention here that the provincial government has taken notice of the working of Board of Revenue (BoR) and a cabinet meeting has also been held in this regard and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has decided to appoint Rizwan Memon.

It is pertinent to mention here that the working of Board of Revenue (BoR) is being affected badly due to the non-appointment of senior government officers at three important key-posts in the board are still vaccant.

It may be mentioned here that three significant posts in BoR, including Land Utilization (LU) member, Judicial-II and Judicial-III members are laying vacant for last several months.
