TOKYO: Rockstar Games give a selection of new screenshots to Grand Theft Auto 5. Featuring support for 4K resolution, the 15 new images look at the forthcoming PC version of the open-world title.
The game’s minimum and recommended PC system requirements were recently revealed by Rockstar.
It requires 65GB of space on the hard drive and at least an NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB graphics card.
Like the Xbox One and PS4 versions, the PC release will benefit from improved visuals, new content and more.
The PC edition promises to be the best-looking version of GTA 5 to date.
“The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet,” Rockstar said in a statement.
“[It’s] fully optimised to support a broad range of current hardware (system specifications) and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.”
Following several delays, the PC version is scheduled to debut on April 14.
To apologise for the delay, Rockstar is offering pre-order customers an additional $200,000 of in-game cash to spend.
The developer has also asked for the community’s “understanding and assistance in helping to report any concerns during the early days of launch when those inevitable initial teething issues arise”.
The PC version will also launch with online play and the Heists mode, which launched earlier this month on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Those who pre-order the digital download of the upcoming PC release at the Rockstar Warehouse will get a free PC digital download from select titles.
GTA 5 was recently confirmed to be the UK’s biggest-selling game at retail in January.
Sales of the game have helped Take-Two become the second-biggest publisher in terms of revenue.
