Roshan Digital Account investments reach $13.9b

KARACHI: Investment through Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs) has reached approximately $13.9 billion, according to the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

RDA inflows stood at $259 million in August 2026, showing a 58% year-on-year increase compared with $164 million recorded during the same month last year. However, monthly inflows declined by 8% from $282 million in July 2026.

The total number of Roshan Digital Accounts has also crossed 966,144, highlighting continued participation from overseas Pakistanis in the digital banking initiative.

Since the launch of the scheme, cumulative funds received through Roshan Digital Accounts have reached around $13.906 billion.

Of the total amount, approximately $2.13 billion has been repatriated, while $8.767 billion has been utilized within Pakistan. This has left a net repatriable liability of around $3.009 billion.

The funds are distributed across various investment and account categories. Conventional Naya Pakistan Certificates account for $716 million, while Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates hold $1.332 billion.

Roshan equity investments stand at $155 million, while other liabilities amount to $78 million. The balance held in accounts is approximately $729 million.

Overall, the amount repatriated and utilized has reached $10.896 billion, with the remaining net repatriable liability standing at $3.009 billion.

The latest figures indicate continued growth in the use of Roshan Digital Accounts, as overseas Pakistanis increasingly use the platform to send funds and invest in Pakistan.
