VEHARI: The district administration imposed fine of Rs 1.6 million upon 1,763 shopkeepers over profiteering.
This was stated by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Ali Akbar Bhatti while inspecting Ramzan bazaar. He directed price control magistrates to take strict action against profiteers and also intensify raids.
Earlier, the DCO visited vegetable market along with DPO Ghazi Salahuddin and monitored fruits and vegetables auction process.
