NAB officials stated before court that both the suspects robbed 26,000 people, including the families of martyred army personnel, of their money. They said that further interrogations from the alleged suspects are ongoing.  NAB officials demanded the court extend physical remand of the two for another 14 days. The court later announced their physical remand for further 12 days.

Earlier in February, NAB included former army chief Gen (r) Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani’s brother Amjad Kiyani in the investigation of the land scam.

NAB is pursuing a corruption reference against Kamran Kiyani, Hammad Arshad, owner of Globaco (Private) Limited, and Muhammad Hussain among others pertaining to land allotments for development projects in DHA, involving Rs 16 billion.
