KARACHI: Rs 5 billion claims are pending as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reportedly stopped Customs Export Collectorate from paying them.
The FBR sources said that payment of claims was expected in the end of this month. The federal government has granted permission for this purpose. The claims are in thousands and their amount is in billions as the payment of sales tax refund is banned.
