According to the details of the case, Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad had booked importers M/s DS Motors, M/s Memon Motors and M/s Raazy Motors as well as clearing agents M/s ARW Enterprises and M/s Shan Clearing and Forwarding Agents for mis-declaring the quantity and value of bike parts/kits imported by various original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Pursuing the information regarding mis-declaration, the customs officials carried out scrutiny of the consignments of motorcycle parts imported by M/s D.S Motors, M/s Raazy Motors and M/s Memon Motors which were brought to Hyderabad Dry Port. It was found that the importers hoodwinked the system and fraudulently evaded the payment of requisite duty and taxes by mis-declaring the number of units/quantity.

M/s Memon Motors and D.S Motors evaded Rs 4.19 million and Rs 4.45 million respectively.
