Rs 9 billion being spent on Chakwal-Mandra road

RAWALPINDI: Parliamentary Secretary for Capital Administration and Cabinet division Raja Javaid Ikhlas on Tuesday said that an amount of Rs 9 billion is being spent on the construction of 63 kilo meter long Chakwal-Masndra road.

Presiding over a meeting here, Javaid said that work on the project is underway and government is determined to ensure quality construction and completion on time.

He said that economy of Chakwal district and its adjoining areas will witness a revolutionary change after completion of road as it lies on the main route of the national highway.

The Secretary said the government wants to serve the people without any discrimination and the areas which were neglected in the past would be given due importance.

On the occasion, Director National Logistic Cell (NLC) Col. (Retd) Usman Atique apprised the Secretary about work on the project; he added that construction work that was going on around-the-clock would be completed soon.
