MULTAN: The Pakistan Tanneries Association (PTA) has collected almost Rs 12 billion from 7.3 million sacrificial animal hides during Eid.
The PTA collected hides of 2.5 million cows and buffaloes, 4 million goat hides, 0.8 million sheep and 30,000 camel hides during the three days of Eid. The association has collected revenue worth Rs 12 billion from these hides. Demand for leather is also fulfilled through the sacrificial animals.
