Rs3.567b revenue recovered during current year

FAISALABAD: The district revenue department in a drive against defaulters recovered Rs 3.567 billion during current year.

The department also got evacuated 1,151 acres land orth more than Rs 9 billion from illegal occupants in different parts of the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Muhammad Shahid, during a briefing said that over Rs 5.6 million had been recovered under the head of stamp duty, Rs 4.5 million under registration fees, Rs 46.1 million under capital value tax, Rs 52.7 million under registration fees, Rs 656.1 million under CVT annual target, Rs 2.70 billion under stamp duty annual target, Rs 4.7 million under agriculture income tax and Rs 9.58 billion under other heads. ADC said that Rs 2.49 billion for 24,319 canal and 6 marlas acquired land had been paid to the land owners for Lahore-Karachi motorway projects.

Different services were restored in 81 villages besides establishing booths for issuance of ‘Fard’ to people at Tehsil headquarters, he added.
