Rs45,824.87m budget for FY 2014-15: CDA begins work at rain-hit roads

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has begun patchwork and carpeting of various roads and crossings damaged by recent rains across the federal capital.

The CDA Board had approved Rs45,824.87 million Budget of CDA for the Financial Year 2014-15 in its meeting held here at CDA Headquarters. The Budget meeting was chaired by Chairman CDA, Mr. Maroof Afzal.

The CDA chairman has directed that the internal resources be utilised for carrying out maintenance, carpeting and patchwork of the roads and service roads, and the relevant formations of the authority should collaborate their efforts for early execution of the work.

CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal has deputed the senior officers of the authority to monitor the ongoing carpeting and patch work. The MPO directorate apprised that carpeting work at the Faizabad portion of Expressway has been completed.

Similarly, the work on the extension of road at I-8-Shakarparian crossing is in progress. Every effort is being made to complete the work on a dedicated lane being constructed here to facilitate the students and the visitors of the schools in the area by Sunday evening.
