ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is yet to recover Rs6.2 billion dues of land utilisation charges from the two luxurious hotels in the federal capital
Sources said that Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) of the CDA has failed to recover hefty amount from Serena and Marriott pending for years as both the hotels are using Authority’s land as parking lots.
The officers concerned have been ordered to recover the amount in the meetings convened on the issue, but not a single penny was recovered, they said. According to the CDA rules, authority was supposed to charge Rs5,000/day from each violator.
