LAHORE: The Customs Appraisement has achieved the revenue collection target set for the third quarter (January-March).
The collectorate collected Rs6,361 million under the head of customs duty against the target of Rs6,280 million. In the month of March, the officials of Appraisement collected Rs2,590 million customs duty with 36 per cent growth over the month period of last year. The collectorate collected Rs8,405 million as sales tax and Rs10 million as income tax during January-March.
Sources said that the revenue collection targets were achieved after the concessions and incentives given to the importers by the Appraisement .
Collector Appraisement Jamil Nasir Khan congratulated the team of his collectorate over this success. The collector also directed the officials of his collectorate to achieve the target of remaining period with the same hard work and honesty and also continue giving facilitations to the importers.
