Rs800m project to train 11,000 individuals: PSDF unveils Skills for Job 2015

LAHORE: “Skills for Job 2015” programme was launched to impart training in different market-oriented skills to more than 11,000 individuals in seven districts of the Punjab province.

The programme was launched by the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) at a cost of Rs800 million to train individuals belonging to Khanewal, Vehari, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and Rahim Yar Khan districts and equip them with various need-based modern skills.

About 52 training service providers have been assigned the contract for imparting trainin in different skills.

While addressing the media, PSDF CEO Ali Sarfraz said that PSDF successfully trained more than 55,000 individuals since its inception. The scheme is another round of one of PSDF’s major training schemes under which individuals are imparted technical and vocational skills demanded by the job market.
