FAISALABAD: Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has issued 8,210 route permits and collected revenue of Rs 15.7 million during the last five months.
According to official sources, fine of Rs 3.4 million was also collected from drivers of 3,143 vehicles on violation of different laws during the period.
They said that regional transport authority issued 541 route permits and collected revenue of Rs 2.8 million in January, and 842 route permits were issued and revenue of Rs 2.8 million was generated in February.
The sources said that revenue of Rs 3.4 million was generated from issuance of 990 permits in March, Rs 4.5 million were collected by issuing 1,431 permits in April and Rs 2.9 million were collected from 1,406 permits in May.
