RTO-I collects Rs 17,245m in first 10 days of March

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I collected an amount of Rs 17245 million during the first 10 days of the current month.

Additional Commissioner RTO-I Rana Tahir told Customs Today that the RTO-I collected Rs 16353 million under the head of income tax, Rs 877 million as sales tax, Rs 15 million under the head of federal excise duty.

He said that RTO-I collected Rs 18156 million in first ten days of February, from which Rs 17310 were collected as income tax, Rs 832 million as sales tax, Rs 14 million as federal excise duty. He said as per directions of FBR new tax payers are brought under tax net. He said this is the main reason in increase in tax revenue.
