KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 20.145 billion under the head of duty/taxes during the first ten days of May 2016. It generated Rs 1.789 billion more revenue than same corresponding period of last month, April.
The RTO-I collected Rs 19.111 billion in wake of income tax, Rs 1.012 billion as sales tax and Rs 22 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during the said period.
It may mention here that the RTO-I collected Rs 18.356 billion during first ten days of April. It collected Rs 17.347 billion as income tax, Rs 992 million as sales tax and Rs 17 million in wake of FED.
