RTO-I receives three tax returns yet under amnesty scheme

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has received three tax returns under the tax amnesty scheme during the first 15 days of February.

According to the details, the FBR has announced that tax returns under newly launched scheme will be received by February 25, 2016, while the time for filing was started on February 1.

It has lapsed 15 days and the tax returns’ receiving number is standing at three involving Rs 90,000 taxes. It seemed that traders are not showing satisfaction on the scheme but the officials said that campaign in this regard is in full swing.

They said that tax amnesty scheme will benefit the traders as it was launched after having discussions with the traders.

It is pertinent to mention here that FBR seeks to collect around one million tax returns during the said time period.
