RTO-I recovers Rs 13.5m sales tax from defaulters

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 13.5 million from four defaulter companies in wake of sales tax.

Sources said that the RTO-I served notices on three Karachi-based companies and one Thatta-based company to pay the outstanding taxes within 15 days.

Responding to the notices, the defaulter companies named Nauman and Sons, Shafique Moulding International, Arslan Garments and Export and Noor Feeds paid their taxes.

As per details, Numan and Sons paid Rs 3.2 million, Shafique Moulding Rs 5.6 million, Arslan Garments Rs 2.2 million and Noor Feeds paid  Rs 2.5 million to the RTO-I.
