LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax office-I Lahore has recovered almost Rs 2.2 million from advertising company involved in tax evasion.
Sources said that department received information that advertising agency was allegedly involved in tax evasion by concealing the facts and figures. After monitoring the company’s business, FBR found that company was evading taxes, they added.
Sources said that RTO-I Lahore has recovered the evaded amount by attaching the bank accounts of the company, while officials were also investigating the matter to detect any other tax evasion.
They said that advertising company is running business at high level in Lahore and Karachi but its paid taxes were not according to its earnings. FBR is striving to detect such tax evader companies, they added.
