RTO-I recovers Rs 35,543m tax during first 20 days of March

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of Revenue has collected Rs 35,543 million tax during the first 20 days of March.

Sources told Customs Today that the RTO-I has recovered Rs 33,787 million under the head of income tax, Rs 1,722 as sales tax and Rs 34 million as federal excise duty.

It is pertinent to mention here that the RTO-I was successful in generating Rs 36,234 million during the same period in February. Out of which, it has collected Rs 34,425 million as income tax, Rs 30 million as federal excise duty and Rs 1,779 million under the head of sales tax.
