RTO-II collects Rs 40,232 million in first 20 days of April

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) recovered Rs 40,232 million in the first 20 days of April.

Additional Commissioner RTO-II Rana Nawaz told Customs Today that Rs 3,8371 million were collected under the head of income tax, while Rs 1,820 million were generated through sales tax and Rs 41 million were collected under the head of federal excise duty (FED).

It is necessary to mention here that the RTO-II collected Rs 19,234 million in the first 10 days of April from which Rs 18,325 million were collected as income tax, Rs 890 million as sales tax while Rs 19 million were collected as federal excise duty.

The additional commissioner said that the RTO-II is using all of its resources to meet revenue collection target set for FY 2015-16.
