RTO-II holds session to educate registrars on WHT

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) held a session to create awareness about withholding tax in registrars of the civil districts of Lahore division.

According to the details, the Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has arranged a session to create awareness about withholding tax to educate registrars of the Lahore division.

During the meeting, Additional Commissioner Withholding Zone Muhammad Ali briefed the participants about tax collections from real estate dealers in the Lahore. He apprised them of the amendments in the laws and percentage of tax collection from the fillers and non-filers.

Muhammad Ali advised the registrars that they must check the particulars on Computerized Payment Receipt (CPR) i-e National Tax Number NTN, Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and address of the taxpayers for the facilitation of FBR.

In the meeting the representative of Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) discussed all technical issues faced by the registrars in the newly launched system.  The registrars are also discussed the problems faced by them.

RTO officials also registered suggestion forwarded by the registrars and assure them to consider the same according to law.

Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office-II Khawaja Adnan Zaheer hailed the suggestions forwarded by the registrars and said he will try to solve the issue of Registrars and he suggest the registrars that he must visit the concerned office any time and his team will completely cooperate with him.

In the meeting Dr. Shahid Saddiq Commissioner Withholding Zone, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Sajid Ahmed, Safdar Hussain Virk Sub Registrar Shalimar Town, Saif ullah Gondal, Sub Registrar Iqbal Town, Asad Raza Kazmi, Senior Registrar Gulberg Town, Mirza Asif Saeed, Senior Registrar Samanabad Town,  Hussain from Aziz Bhatti Town and representative from the Defense Housing Authority.
