RTO-II holds workshop for raising tax collection from textile sector

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II ((RTO-II) has conducted a workshop on textile sector for officials in order to enhance tax collection from this sector

RTO-II Chief Commissioner Khawaja Adnan Zaheer and all other officers of zones concerned attended the session. During the workshop, Deputy Commissioner Aleena Aftab and Assistant Commissioner Sana Ghous briefed the participants about different processes of textile sector i.e. ginning, knitting and weaving, and procedures for tax collection.

The participants were also given presentation on multimedia projector about all process of textile sector in order to enhance their understanding to taxing the textile sector in more efficient manners.

In the session, the chief commissioner observed all briefings and appreciated the performance of officers concerned. He also directed the staff to increase the tax collection and meet the targets assigned by the FBR by the end of current fiscal year 2016-17.

At the end of the session, a question-answer session was also held, besides discussing various legal aspects in the tax collection process.

Zone-I Commissioner Dr Sarmad Qurashi, Zone-IV Commissioner Dr Mujtaba Bhatti, Zone-V Commissioner Karamatullah Chaudhary, Withholding Tax Zone Commissioner Dr Shahid Siddiq, Additional Commissioner Headquarter Shabana Aziz, Additional Commissioner Amna Naeem, Additional Commissioner Sajjad Amjad, Additional Commissioner Bilal Malik, Additional Commissioner Muhammad Ali, Additional Commissioner Atif Bashir, Additional Commissioner Zahid Mehmood, Deputy Commissioner Sajjid Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Akbar Ali Mayo, Deputy Commissioner Imran Rana Deputy Commissioner Hussnain and other officers participated the session.
