RTO-II imposes Rs 17m on EPCT Limited after audit

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed Rs 17 million tax on EPCT (Private) Limited after audit of its accounts.

It is pertinent to mention here that the name of EPCT (Private) Limited was selected by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for audit and the case was referred to RTO-II. The RTO-II Chief Commissioner assigned the case to zone- IX for investigation.

According to details, RTO-II, zone- IX has conducted audit of the company and found discrepancies in its record of the year 2013. During investigation, the officials revealed that the company was involved in tax evasion of Rs 17 million. The RTO-II has referred the case to an inspector for the recovery of Rs 17 million.
