KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-II of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 5.543 million from two companies, which were served with show-cause notices on tax evasion.
The RTO-II issued tax notices to two companies namely Alhamra Automation and Export, and Safyan Chemicals directing them to clear the outstanding amount until April 10, otherwise be ready for an action.
Responding to the notices, the Alhamra Automation deposited Rs 3.45 million as tax while the Safyan Chemicals paid Rs 2.08 million before the expiry of the deadline.
It may be mentioned here that the department had issued notice to six companies out of which two companies paid taxes yet.
