KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II has recovered Rs 8.4 million in wake of taxes from two defaulter companies those were served final notices.
The RTO-II issued notices to two companies named Shahbaz Textile and Export, and Al-Wahad Hosiery on April 22 for not paying the outstanding taxes. The notices stated that FBR will have authority to freeze bank accounts or black list the said companies, if they remained fail to pay the dues until May 6.
Responding upon the notices, the Shahbaz Textile deposited Rs 4.7 million, while Al-Wahad Hosiery Rs 3.7 million to national exchequer.
The officials informed that final notices have been served on the tax defaulter companies those were listed in last month.
