LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen the bank accounts of Shiekh Zayed Hospital due to tax evasion.
According to the details, Regional Tax Office recovered Rs 12.5 million after freezing the bank accounts of the hospital.
The Regional Tax Office-II worked on the directions of Commissioner Inland Revenue (IR) Dr Shahid to take action against the hospital. The tax amount was recovered from the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branch.
Source told to Customs Today that RTO-II issued many notices to the hospital for the payment of tax liability but the management of Sheikh Zayed failed to clear tax dues. After their failure RTO-II authorities decided to freeze the bank accounts of hospital to recover pending tax amount.
