RTO-II starts proceeding against tax defaulters

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)has started proceeding against tax defaulters of year 2014-15. The Regional Tax Office-II has issued around 6,000 tax notices to those who did not file tax returns for the previous fiscal year.

According to details, Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) Khawaja Adnan Zaheer has directed stern action tax defaulters. He directed all the commissioners to examine the record of defaulters and served them notices.

Source told Customs Today that if these defaulters will not file their returns despite issuing of these notices then the RTO-II will recover tax amounts after freezing their bank accounts.
