RTO-II to recover Rs 4.7m from M/s Medicana Pharma, Caylex Pharma

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is making efforts for the recovery of additional tax amounting to around Rs 4.7 million from the owners of M/s Medicana Pharma and Caylex Pharma. Medicana Pharma is owned by Risyat Ali Bhatti and Caylex Pharma is owned  by his son Shanshah Resyat.

According to the details, Regional Tax Office two (RTO-II) conducted internal audit of Medicana Pharma and Caylex Pharma and found  tax fraud. The RTO, after scrutinizing all the data, directed Medicana Pharma to pay Rs 42,59,400 additional tax and Caylex to pay Rs 15,15,092.

Sources said that the RTO issued them many notices to clear the outstanding amount but both the companies failed to clear pending tax amount.

Now the RTO-II is considering issuing arrest warrants of the owners of both companies. It is necessary to mention here that both companies are sealed by the Federal Investigation Agency due to some reasons.
