RTO- III issues notice to 5,000 tax defaulters

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-III (RTO-III) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued final notices to 5000 tax defaulters.

The RTO-III officials informed Customs Today that the department issued the notices to 500 tax evaders and warned them to deposit their tax. These 5000 defaulters are allegedly involved in tax evasion of more than Rs 5,500 million.

Additional Collector RTO-III Shakeel Khanzada informed Customs Today that these notice are final notices of this fiscal year. He further said that during this fiscal year the department issued more than 30 thousand notices which result was fruitful. It is pertinent to mention here with the honest struggle of the officials RTO-III included 10 thousand new persons in tax net And FBR earned Rs 5200 million from these persons. RTO-III assured that we will get more progress and achieve more tax in the coming fiscal year.
