RTO-III seals two factories due to tax evasion

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-III has sealed two factories and issued tax notices to 300 people who are declaring less income and avoiding to pay taxes according to their actual sales.

Additional Commissioner Agha Yaseen told Customs Today that the two factories declared less sales in January and deposited less sales tax. During the scrutiny of the sales data it was revealed that both companies submitted forged sales tax statements.

RTO-III authorities directed the management of above said companies to explain their point of view personally, while on the other hand RTO authorities issued tax notices to 300 defaulters asking them to clear outstanding amount at the earliest to avoid legal action.
