LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office (RTO) has prepared a list identifying textile sector defaulters to issue Show cause notice and to recover Federal Excise Duty and other taxes.
According to the sources RTO Lahore Chief Commissioner Waqar Ahmad has instructed Commissioners of the entire zone to recover outstanding taxes from the defaulter textile millers.
The Chief Commissioner instructed the Commissioner to take action against the textile mills which have not paid their taxes including Federal Excise Duty, advance taxes and others.
Sources told that the RTO will undertake action according to the strategy drew out by the RTO commissioners.
The RTO has issued show cause notices to the defaulter textile millers asking them to deposit their liabilities to avoid legal action against them, the official sources said.
