RTO Multan deploys eight employees for tax collection ‏

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan has deployed eight employees in various branches of the National Bank for collection of taxes.

The Regional Tax Office is facing issues in collection of taxes at various branches in Multan city after the contract maturity of PRAL employees. Almost 13 employees of the PRAL were working in various branches of banks and after expiry of their contracts, the Regional Tax Office Multan is facing hurdles in collection of taxes from taxpayers.

The Federal Board of Revenue Commissioner Human Resource Management Dr. Muhammad Naeem has directed Regional Tax Office Multan to assign duties from the Regional tax office at the various branches of National Banks to run the system of PRAL for the collection of taxes. PRAL employees were playing vital role in assisting and facilitation of taxpayers in the different branches of National Banks Multan.

Due to unavailability of PRAL employees at the various branches of National banks taxpayers were facing hindrance and electronic tax collection were also affected due to their absence in banks.

The Regional Tax Office Multan have deployed eight employees from RTO to facilitate the taxpayers but the Regional Tax Office was already dealing huge amount of work .The deployment of employees at the National Banks branches are also creating issues for the Regional Tax Office Multan in shape of staff shortage .
