RTO Multan not to issue tax notices till assumption of charge by Commissioner Appeals

‏MULTAN: Commissioner Hafiz Muhammad Jamil Owaisi directed RTO Multan to stop issuance of recovery notices till the assumption of new Commissioner Appeals.

Commissioner has taken this decision on the request of business community and industrialist to appoint new Commissioner Appeals because taxpayers are facing issues. Due to absence of Commissioner Appeals taxpayers were also claiming that they have filed appeal against tax notice.

He has also directed to suspend bank account freezing of the taxpayers until the appointment of new Commissioner Appeal in order to provide relief to taxpayers in the region.

PCGA have also complained Commissioner Hafiz Muhammad Jamil Owaisi that RTO is issuing them tax notices and they will likely to file appeal against tax notices but there is commissioner Appeal available for hearing. Now RTO Multan will issue any tax recovery notice after assumption of Commissioner Appeals for the collection of taxes.
