RTO starts campaign to educate taxpayers about withholding tax

SIALKOT: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Sialkot has started its campaign by using flex boards to educate taxpayers about the importance of withholding tax on banking transactions.

The RTO has used a new way to educate taxpayers about withholding tax in the area, mentioning that there would be no withholding tax on the filers by usage of banking transactions. It also clearly mentions that withholding tax is only for non-filers and will have no affects on regular taxpayers.

Added further on the flex that the people should file their tax returns immediately in order to take exemption of withholding taxes on banking transactions of more than Rs 50, 000. The flex also mentioned that the paying tax is the sole responsibility of the taxpayers, and is important for the development of the country.
