Rupee strengthens 60 paisa against dollar

The US dollar lost 60 paisa against Pakistani rupee on Friday in both inter-bank and open markets despite the business activities have been slowed down amid uncertainty on the political front for the last two weeks.

On Thursday, the US dollar gained 75 paisa against Pakistani rupee in open market to reach 102.45 as the rupee could not maintain its upward journey during the previous few days.

The rupee strengthened to 101.85 and 101.5 gaining 60 and 62 paisa against US dollar in open and inter-bank markets, respectively.  Sources told Customs Today that commercial importers and exporters have slowed down process of transactions due to fluctuation in rupee value.
