BRUSSELS: The food import embargo Russia has imposed against countries that sanctioned it is a disaster for French farmers, France’s Member of the European Parliament Edouard Ferrand told Sputnik.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Union, the United States and its allies imposed sanctions in Russia for its alleged involvement in the Ukrainian crisis. The allegations have been refuted by Russia.

According to the parliamentarian, fruit prices in France have slumped by 12 percent since 2013, while vegetables saw a 12-percent price drop. The dairy sector has also been affected.
