Russia sea ports handles 618.8 million mt cargo in 2014

MOSCOW: Russia’s seas ports handled 618.8 million mt of goods in 2014, up 4.9% and exceeding 600 million mt for the first time ever, according to Russia’s transport ministry.

Dry bulk showed a 12.5% growth to 288.3 million mt whereas liquid bulk edged lower by 0.9% to 330.5 million mt, the ministry said in a statement.
