MOSCOW: Russian Customs Department reported that they seized contraband worth 241 million rubles at different areas of country, including ports, airports and border crossings.
Officers made 19 seizures during that period while monitoring goods arriving in the country at those locations, including Yangon International Airport, Customs said. Contraband included Dell computers, communication devices, construction materials and tools, and machine parts, an official said.
Muse, Lweje, Chinshwehaw and Kanpitetee (Myanmar-China border), Myawaddy, Techileik, Kawthaung, Myeik, Kengtung, Mawtaung and Nabulal/Hteekhee (Myanmar-Thai border), Sittwe and Maungtaw (Myanmar-Bangladesh border) and Tamu and Reed (Myanmar-India border) are open for official border trade, the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs says.
