MOSCOW: In the 2015/2016 agricultural year (from July 1, 2015, to February 10, 2016) Russia exported 23.1 million tonnes of grain, which is 2.1% less than over the same period in the previous agricultural year (23.6 million tonnes), according to the Agriculture Ministry, which cited the latest figures from the Federal Customs Service.
That includes wheat exports at 17.2 million tonnes, barley 3.4 million tonnes, maize 2.3 million tonnes, and 189,000 tonnes of other crops.
As at February 11, the average wheat export price in the United States (the Gulf of Mexico) stood at $188 per tonne. Over the week, it dropped by $7 (3.6%) per tonne.
The domestic grain prices continued rising slightly.
