MOSCOW: According to the Association of Russian Seaports, over January-June 2016 grain handling in ports of the country increased by 29.4% compared to the same period last year and reached 12.1 MMT. In the first half of 2016 cargo turnover in Russian seaports grew by 6.0% to 344.6 MMT.
UkrAgroConsult notes that such considerable increase in grain handling in Russian sea ports became possible due to record export shipments, which reached 34.5 MMT in the 2015/16 season.
